General

The BSG Annual Meeting will take place from 8 to 12 November 2021. The content is accessible on demand for four weeks after the event. Registration is open now and further details can be accessed on the registration page.

Yes, the content will be available from 8 – 12 November as per programme schedule for all registered participants and then accessible on demand (whenever required) for four weeks after the event. All live activities will be recorded for later viewing but you will still be required to register.

Yes, CPD points will be awarded by the Royal College of Physicians. Details of points available will be released shortly. You will receive a copy of your CPD certificate on completion of the post-event survey which will be sent out after the on demand platform closes.

To attend the online conference you will require a good internet connection, your computer/laptop and a headset/headphones as well as a valid registration.

The registration fee includes:

  • Access to the poster gallery featuring hundreds of scientific posters
  • Meet with industry in the virtual exhibition
  • Network and connect through the online attendee hub
  • Post event access to session videos for four weeks after the event

Your delegate pass will only allow you to access the digital meeting platform and cannot be shared with colleagues or anyone else.

Conference Programme

The programme can be viewed here. Delegates will be able to access the virtual platform to view the papers, posters, and the interactive schedule from 5 November 2021. All live content will be available once the conference starts on 8 November 2021.

Live sessions provide the option for participants to interact with the session’s presenters via the Q&A text box available on the session page. The Q&A is only visible while the session is live (please refer to the session schedule available from 5 November 2021). This option will no longer be accessible after the session has ended.  However, you will be able to view the video recording of the questions that were asked during the live session.

Posters hosted within the poster gallery will allow for participants to post questions to authors throughout the event.

Presentation slides will be available to download within each session, you can access a copy of the slides by clicking on the ‘session documents’ section within each session.

Virtual Platform

Yes there will be an online exhibition allowing attendees to interact with exhibitors via chat and video. Exhibitors will present new technical developments and products. The Exhibition area will be available in the online conference platform from 8 November 2021.

Yes you will be able to connect with fellow attendees via the platform in the attendee hub where you can interact via online chat, online meetings and 1-2-1 video calls.

The best experience will be provided on a laptop or desktop using Chrome or Firefox browsers. You can use a mobile device, however some functionalities may be limited because of the screen size. We encourage you to use a computer.

 

If you opt to use a mobile device, ensure you are on strong Wi-Fi connection, as mobile phone networks are likely not going to have the required internet speed to handle video streaming.

We want to make your experience as smooth as possible so if you have any issues accessing the platform please email bsg@conferencepartners.com. If you experience issues when using the platform please contact the event team through the helpdesk function on the platform.

We would love to hear your feedback, you will be able to provide individual session feedback via the virtual platform. We will also send out a post-event survey on 12 November, you will receive your CPD certificate on completion of the survey.

Presenters, Posters, Chairs and Moderators

Yes, a personalised invitation will be emailed to you to enable you to register for the event, the deadline to register to confirm your participation is 1 September 2021. If you haven’t received an email or have any issues please contact bsgabstracts@conferencepartners.com.

Yes, you will receive comprehensive information and an instructional video explaining how to record and submit your presentation and slides for inclusion on the virtual platform.

The deadline to submit all posters, videos and presentation slides is 11 October 2021. You should have received email instructions explaining how to submit. If you have not received an email please contact bsgabstracts@conferencepartners.com.

Yes, chair, moderator and presenter training will take place in the two weeks prior to the event, you will receive an email with further details as to when these sessions will take place. If you are unable to attend a live session, a pre-recorded instructional video will also be made available.
